My First Aveda Institute Experience & Giveaway!
Last week I experienced Aveda for the first time, and it was fantastic. Not only was the staff incredibly kind, but they all knew so much about Aveda and had such passion for the company.

If you don't know, Aveda isn't just an organic product line, they also have the Aveda Institutes. About a month ago I received an email from Aveda Institute Canada about a possible partnership opportunity. It totally intrigued me, so I started my research on Aveda. I had heard of the company before, but I really didn't know much. Apart from the product line, according to their website Aveda Institute is Canada's top hair schooling program with a 95 per cent national job placement rate. Not only does Aveda believe in high quality hair services, but they believe in supporting and helping the environment. It was evident from my visit that the staff and students live by Aveda's mission:
"Our mission at Aveda is to care for the world we live in, from the products we make to the ways in which we give back to society. At Aveda, we strive to set an example for environmental leadership and responsibility, not just in the world of beauty, but around the world."
Aveda believes in fair trade and helping those in need. You can even take one of their products and call the 1-800 number on the back, and then give the product code to find out everything about how that specific bottle was made and where the ingredients were sourced from.
The same level of passion for caring for our world is also shown in how they treat their customers. The staff was so helpful and were all able to answer any question I had. The hair stylist I had my appointment with is named Amy (also an educator-in-training) and she is an absolute sweetheart.

She sat down with me at the beginning of my appointment to discuss my hair's condition and knew exactly what products would be beneficial to me. After that she started my appointment with the relaxing and customary shoulder and neck massage. Then we made our way to the sink where she washed my hair and gave me a head massage. I have to say, the massages were such a welcomed addition.
Next we made our way back to the chair, where she used four products on me. The Damage Remedy daily hair repair, the Smooth Infusion nourishing styling cream, and the Confixor liquid gel. She then cut my bangs and gave me a blowout. She also used one of Aveda's most sought after products, the Shampure dry shampoo, which she swears works for days. Three later and my hair is still looked fabulous!
The products Amy used on me and I was sent home with, Thank you Aveda Institute Winnipeg!
She ended by styling my hair into beautiful soft and glamorous waves. I couldn't have been more pleased with how my hair ended up. It's so incredibly smooth and luxurious, and my bangs are perfect.
My hair after Amy worked her magic.
My first experience was so great, and I'm definitely going back. I honestly would recommend to anyone who hasn't been to an Aveda Institute to give it a shot.
