The Ultimate Relaxation: Spa Botanica

Blog post not sponsored, but the Bohdi Hair Treatment was kindly gifted to me by Spa Botanica

Sometime you just need a trip to the spa to relax your body and refresh your mind, and that’s exactly what happened to me after my Sunday spa day at Spa Botanica. Earlier this year I received a stunning PR package from the wonderful team at Spa Botanica, along with some fun goodies, I was also gifted a gift certificate for their Bodhi Hair Treatment. I was immediately intrigued. I’ve never had any sort of hair treatment before at a spa, but I’m not going to lie one of my favourite parts of going to the hair salon is when you get that head massage when your hair is being washed. So I knew this was probably going to be just up my alley!

Here’s how they describe the hair treatment on their website:

Bohdi Hair Treatment

Includes back massage, scalp massage, scalp exfoliation, hair steam, and nourishing hair mask, hot stone face/neck/arm massage and shower.

Sounds pretty fricken fantastic, am I right? Spoiler alert… it WAS.

On top of that I decided to purchase a shellac pedicure as well, since my feet were in need of some major TLC.

As I entered the spa, a wave of relaxation and calm fell over me and I instantly felt at ease. The warm, environment filled with natural textures and lots of plants was extremely welcoming. My esthetician, Megan, was honestly spectacular. She brought me into one of the treatment rooms in the back where she explained how the Bodhi Hair Treatment would work before leaving me to change and get settled in the massage bed. Once I was settled, she came back and started off with a light back massage. Then she moved onto (my fav) a scalp and neck massage, before pouring and massaging in the hot hair mask and then the scalp exfoliation. She then did the hot stone face, neck and arm massage, which was honestly incredible. I’ve never had a hot stone massage and I HIGHLY recommend it. Once she completed the massages, she explained I had about 15 minutes to shower and dry before I met her back in the main area to get my pedicure. Once I washed up I made my way over to the main area for my pedicure. The pedicure was excellent, Megan was extremely gentle and really took her time to make sure my nails were all cleaned up. And when it came to my awful heels she put extra attention into that and made them the best they have felt in a long time.

By the time both treatments were over I had been there for about 2 and half hours and I was so relaxed I honestly could have taken a nap. The whole time I felt completely comfortable, calm and well-taken care of. Honestly it was a real treat-yourself afternoon and one that was MUCH needed for myself. As I’m writing this blog I’m already planning out what treatments I want to try next. I think a full hot stone massage is in my not so distant future!
